Why?

Here at Magical Story Jars we believe that every story should be as unique as you and your kids. Why place limits on stories? Why should one size fit all? Playing with our kids is great fun and it really matters. However in the modern world we live in, many of us are continually distracted by every day life, electronic gadgets and necessities like work. As a result, the quality time we spend with our kids needs to be more magical, more fun and more meaningful.

Who are Magical Story Jars suitable for?

Magical Story Jars are suitable for kids age 3 and to 103 and can be used in lots of ways to suit different age groups. For example, three-year olds are likely to want to select the story cards based on the illustrations then have the story made up by a parent, they could perhaps add sound effects to the story! Kids aged four and upwards may enjoy creating the story themselves. They might also like to use the story cards as drawing prompts, acting prompts and imaginary play. Kids aged five and upwards may wish to use their Magical Story Jar for creative writing in addition to all the other ways described.

How long does it take to use a Magical Story Jar?

Magical Story Jar stories can be as long or as short as you like! You can tailor the story to the amount of time you have.

Is the magic dust really magic?

Our customers tell us that the magic dust that is included with each Magical Story Jar really does help with their story creation, hence we can only assume that all the tinkering we have done to ensure it’s magicality has been well and truly worthwhile. It’s also worth knowing that our magic dust is biodegradable, non-toxic and EN71 compliant.

Do you provide discounted rates for schools, charities and 3rd sector organisations?

Sizing details

Magical Story Jar dimensions: height 8cm (3.14 inches), diameter 10cm (3.93 inches).

Notebook dimensions: length 21cm, width 16cm, depth 1cm.

Wooden story card stand dimensions: length 22cm (8.66 inches), height 2cm (0.78 inches), depth 1.8cm (0.70 inches).

Postage and packaging

All orders are dispatched within 1-3 working days. Please note, postage and packaging (standard second class delivery) is via Royal Mail and costs between £2.50 and £3.95 dependant upon what you order. First class delivery via Royal Mail is £4.75 per order.

International shipping

We have shipped Magical Story Jars to all corners of the globe. Because some untold stories have occasionally got lost in the postal system, we now only send international orders via ‘Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed’. To establish shipping costs, please select the country you wish to send to when prompted at the checkout. Please email beth@magicalstoryjars.com for further queries in relation to international shipping costs. Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply.

Returns

In the unlikely event there are any issues at all relating to your purchase, then please do contact us and we will do our utmost to make everything magical once more! Due to the bespoke nature, unless faulty, we are unable to accept returns for Magical Story Jars with personalised labels.

How are Magical Story Jars packaged?

All our products arrive boxed with protective packaging, tissue paper and of course, magic dust!
