A Magical Story Jar Story - Christopher the Vampire with a Wobbly Fang
Once upon a time, many years ago, in a grand castle in Transylvania lived Christopher the Vampire. Christopher and his family, which included his Mum, Dad and 9 brothers and 8 sisters were extremely friendly vampires and got along with all of the towns people. Christopher’s parents were teachers and most of his siblings wanted to follow in their footsteps, however Christopher dreamed of being a dentist. One Sunday morning Christopher woke up, hanging upside down as usual and jumped to his feet when he felt a sharp pain in his fang.
“Ow!” He exclaimed, bringing his hand to his tooth.
His Mum came running in at the sound of his cry.
“What’s wrong Chris?” She asked, a look of worry upon her face.
Chris touched his fang gently and it wobbled.
“My fang Mum! It’s wobbly.”
His mother breathed a sigh of relief.
“That’s okay honey, it’s just your baby fang.”
Christopher’s eyes filled with tears.
“No it’s not, my baby fang fell out years ago.”
His mother frowned.
“Oh, well it’s okay my darling. You’ve still got your other fangs.”
“I can’t be a dentist with no fang!” He cried.
His mother gave him a hug and whispered comforting words in his ear, telling him it would all be okay, until he eventually calmed down. Later on in the day Christopher’s fang fell out as he bit into an apple and he began crying once more. He flew upstairs to the attic to be alone. While he sat in the corner and cried, he saw a blurry glint of purple out of the corner of his eye. He crawled over to it in the small space and picked up the bottle of purple liquid labelled magic potion. He turned the label over and it read:
Drink the potion and you will see
In the morning your wish will be.
Christopher gulped the tangy sweet tasting potion and wished that his tooth would grow back. He then rushed down the stairs to his hanging place and went straight to sleep, praying that the potion would work. When he woke in the morning, he rushed to the mirror and saw a pearly white fang had grown overnight. He couldn’t believe it! He was so happy he sped down the stairs to tell his Mum all about the potion he’d found and to show her his brand-new fang. She smiled at him and winked.
“See I told you it would be okay.”
It was then Christopher realised it was no coincidence that he found that potion in the first place.
